Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua looks to throw the jab but Windu is out of range.
Rua cracks Windu with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Cubert Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Windu blocks a jab.
Windu tries a head kick but it misses.
Rua fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Windu looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Rua throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Windu throws a right and a left that Rua avoids nicely.

Rua lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Windu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Rua lands with a hook. Windu tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Rua lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Rua cracks a nice hook into Windu's ribs.
Windu throws a nice looking combination but Rua bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Rua lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Windu circles away quickly and effectively.

Rua slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Rua is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Windu had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Windu looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Windu takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rua will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Oooooh!!! Rua has knocked Windu down with a huge combo! Rua steps away and waves a wobbly Windu back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Windu is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rua checks a leg kick.
Oh Windu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rua cracks Windu with an open hand slap.
Rua connects with a combination that backs up Windu into the cage. Rua lands a flurry of punches that gets past Windu's guard. Windu is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Rua bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cubert Rua !
During a confident post fight interview, Cubert Rua thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
