Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shoei Braz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samir Samir Kahric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Samir Samir Kahric!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahric shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Braz pinned against the cage. Braz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Braz drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kahric sprawls and moves away.
Kahric shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Braz defends it nicely.
Braz throws a head kick but Kahric moves out of range.
Kahric throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Braz was covering up waiting for the punch and Kahric finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Braz wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kahric drops back looking for a leg! Braz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Braz manages to kick Kahric off! Kahric jumps back into Braz's guard.

Braz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Shoei Braz will probably get the nod.

Kahric slaps away a takedown attempt from Braz, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Kahric closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Braz to the mat! Braz manages to get full guard.
