The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ponens misses with an uppercut
and Groves counters with a straight right hand.
Groves tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ponens was well out of range. Poor timing from Groves.
And Ponens tries to counter it with a takedown but Groves pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Ponens throws out a counter right but Groves avoids it with no problem.
Ponens has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Groves fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ponens manages to avoid it.
Groves bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Modus Ponens showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
