Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Finn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finn comes to the cage accompanied by Von Bondies - C'mon c'mon. Mickey Finn is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez moves into the clinch.
Alvarez misses with a hook to the ribs.
Alvarez trying to control the position but instead, Finn has worked for underhooks and has pushed Alvarez into the cage.
Alvarez has a couple of punches blocked by Finn.
Finn has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
A head punch on the inside from Alvarez fails to land.
Alvarez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Alvarez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Finn slips a jab and a cross from Alvarez.

It looks like Mickey Finn has been cut.
Alvarez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Alvarez throws a body shot but no joy.
Alvarez closes the distance and clinches.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Finn tightens his grip and picks Alvarez up, before dumping him to the ground. Alvarez manages to land in guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alvarez is on top in guard.

Alvarez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Finn. That did some damage!

Alvarez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Alvarez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Finn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alvarez swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Finn cracks Alvarez with a right hand to the side of the head.

Alvarez dips to his left and cracks Finn with an uppercut!
Alvarez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Finn sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Finn tries to close the distance and clinch but Alvarez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nick Alvarez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Good work by Alvarez as he checks the leg kick.
Alvarez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Finn manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Finn shoots in and bounces Alvarez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Finn is in close to Alvarez's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Finn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alvarez defends it easily.
Alvarez stands and throws Finn's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Alvarez is looking to take a break and control but Finn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Alvarez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Finn haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Alvarez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Finn circles away quickly and effectively.
Alvarez has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Alvarez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Nick Alvarez seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Finn throws a right and a left that Alvarez avoids nicely.
Despite the aggression on Alvarez's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Finn just misses with a punch to the body.

Finn takes a swing at Alvarez's ribcage but misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Finn counters with a stiff right hand.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mickey Finn will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Alvarez misses with a hook. Finn ducked under it nicely.
Finn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alvarez's waist but Alvarez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Finn off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mickey Finn. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Finn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Alvarez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Alvarez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Finn stacks Alvarez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Finn!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Finn seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Alvarez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Finn works Alvarez's body with a nice hook.
Alvarez lands a leg kick that knocks Finn off balance momentarily.
Alvarez tries to clinch but Finn moves out of range.

Alvarez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mickey Finn.
I think Finn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
