Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Ponting (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bongo Bongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bongo Bongo will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Ponting.
Horrible takedown by Bongo or perhaps it was just good defense by Ponting which made him look bad.
Ponting scores with a one two! Bongo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Bongo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ponting tries to avoid it but Bongo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ponting to the ground. Ponting escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ponting goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Thomas Ponting seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bongo throws a left and a right that both miss

and Ponting counters with a single leg into guard. Bongo didn't expect that.

Bongo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ponting is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bongo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ponting's back instead.
Ponting might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bongo is trying to stick to Ponting's back but Ponting is turning into Bongo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bongo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ponting.

Bongo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Thomas Ponting.
