The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leak instigates a clinch.
Leak blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Leak creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Smith's defenses.
Leak takes an elbow to the forehead.

Leak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

It looks like Terry Smith has been cut.

Smith throws out a leg kick but Leak moves out of range and Smith only half commits.

We've been informed that Smith has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Leak feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Smiths jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Smith swats away the attempt to clinch by Leak.
Smith feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Leak's calf.
Leak moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Leak wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
We've been told by Leak's head coaches at Roosters Coop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Smith throws a series of punches but Leak moves out of range.
Kelly Leak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round but I would say that Kelly Leak will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A relieved looking Kelly Leak thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
