Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krystian Cierpka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Manuel Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cierpka dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Cierpka's head and hops out.
Cierpka looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well.

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cierpka has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cierpka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Manuel Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krystian Cierpka.
Cierpka moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.

Cierpka closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cierpka scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Silva to see if he's OK.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cierpka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Cierpka eventually gives up the hold.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Cierpka shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Cierpka has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Horrible takedown attempt by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Cierpka, which made it look bad.
Silva throws a lazy right hand but Cierpka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cierpka shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Silva.

Cierpka tightens his grip and picks Silva up, before dumping him to the ground. Silva manages to land in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cierpka is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Silva could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Cierpka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cierpka stands and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Cierpka thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Silva is looking for a sweep.

Cierpka has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Silva is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Cierpka yanks on the arm and Silva is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Cierpka.
