Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bryan Bernard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Serge Letrou!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Letrou shoots in for a takedown but Bernard shows good takedown defense.
Bernard really is a fat lump.
Bernard tries to close the distance and clinch but Letrou swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Bernard has managed to clinch.

Bernard gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bernard gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bernard gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Bernard tries to pull guard but Letrou won't allow it.

Bernard turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
You can see the frustration on Letrou's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bernard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Letrou keeps working.
Letrou is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Bernard throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Letrou works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Bernard tries to stand but can't do so whilst Letrou controls his leg.

Letrou is positioning himself well to prevent Bernard advancing to mount.

Bernard is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bernard looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bernard slips a nice elbow through Letrou's hands, connecting with Letrou's forehead.

Bernard tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Letrou.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bernard rushes Letrou and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Letrou drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Letrou breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bernard fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bernard wants to clinch up but Letrou keeps it at a distance.
And Letrou tries to counter it with a takedown but Bernard pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Bernard closes the distance and pushes Letrou back into the cage.
Letrou misses with the head strike.

Bernard is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Letrou is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bernard leaves Letrou with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bernard tries to close the distance and clinch but Letrou swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Letrou tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bernard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Letrou somewhat.
Bryan Bernard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Serge Letrou.

Letrou tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bernard swivels and escapes.

Bernard takes the fight into the clinch.
Letrou tries to pull guard but Bernard holds him up against the cage and eventually Letrou drops back down to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Letrou breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bryan Bernard will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Letrou ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bernard moves away.
Letrou goes for a double leg but Bernard avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bernard continues to drive forward.
Bernard tries to close the distance and clinch but Letrou swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Letrou. Bernard does a little dance to reset his feet.
Letrou stuffs the takedown.
Letrou now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Letrou misses with a wild combination.

Letrou throws a hook but Bernard blocks it.
Letrou fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bernard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Letrou defends well and Bernard ends up having to push Letrou into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Letrou cracks Bernard with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Bernard tries to clinch but Letrou is having none of it.
Bernard on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Letrou lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Letrou has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Letrou lands a jab to Bernard's midsection.

Letrou throws out a counter right but Bernard avoids it with no problem.

Letrou let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Bernard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Serge Letrou comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bernard has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
