Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jacek Brozinek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sam Kenson!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brozinek throws a head kick that misses.
Kenson blocks a head kick by Brozinek.

and Kenson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kenson.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brozinek is looking to stand back up but Kenson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Brozinek.
Kenson wants to pass to mount but Brozinek is defending the position.

Kenson seems to be working for a kimura but Brozinek defends the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kenson throws a sloppy head kick and Brozinek moves out of range easily.

Kenson thows a huge punch but Brozinek dodges it nicely.

Kenson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

It looks like Kenson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Kenson wants to take a breather but Brozinek is having none of it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kenson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jacek Brozinek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brozinek parries the strikes from Kenson easily there. Kenson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Brozinek to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kenson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brozinek dodges the ground and pound from Kenson.
Kenson is trying to ground and pound but Brozinek uses the momentary lack of control by Kenson to regain half guard.
Kenson content to control rather than advance.

Brozinek avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kenson.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Kenson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brozinek keeps working.
Brozinek is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

And Kenson responds with a good body kick, but Brozinek manages to step out the way in time.

Kenson swings around for an armbar but Brozinek sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kenson's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kenson is on top in guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Oooooh!!! Brozinek has knocked Kenson down with a huge combo! Brozinek steps away and waves a wobbly Kenson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Sam Kenson has been cut.
Brozinek throws a sloppy head kick

so Kenson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kenson is still in real trouble! Can Brozinek finish him?
Brozinek looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Sam Kenson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Let's hope that Kenson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
