The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald circles away from the clinch attempt.
McDonald tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
McDonald throws a body punch but Kamigawa moves out of range.
Kamigawa throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McDonald sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kamigawa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kamigawa throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kamigawa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McDonald shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

McDonald closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

McDonald has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kamigawa is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. McDonald yanks on the arm and Kamigawa is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by McDonald.
