Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reko Mehtala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mehtala's entrance music is Koto - Jabdah. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Mehtala swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mehtala misses with a wild combination.

It looks like Reko Mehtala has been cut.
Mehtala takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Mehtala swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mehtala controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
Mehtala looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mehtala pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.
Jones is pushing down on Mehtala's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mehtala is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through.

Mehtala throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mehtala scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jones in his tracks.

Jones tries to clinch but Mehtala is having none of it.
Jones connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mehtala's hands.

and Jones counters with a left and a right that stings Mehtala.

Jones ducks under a wild hook from Mehtala.
Jones slips under a jab from Mehtala.
Reko Mehtala is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Mehtala counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jones thinking.
Mehtala throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily.
Mehtala works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Mehtala throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Jones colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Mehtala as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Jones is left battered and dazed whilst Mehtala and his camp cheer!
