Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Herman Mudgett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Lockheart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Herman Mudgett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurt Lockheart!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mudgett throws a chopping leg kick but Lockheart manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mudgett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lockheart looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A little feinted left hand from Mudgett on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lockheart goes for a double leg but Mudgett avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mudgett continues to drive forward.

Lockheart feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lockheart drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lockheart jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mudgett has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Lockheart's coach down at Morbid Conditioning, Trans, Esc School $1000 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lockheart's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Mudgett cracks Lockheart with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Mudgett jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Mudgett feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lockheart's calf.

Lockheart throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mudgett tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lockheart is in Mudgett's guard.
Mudgett wants to get back to his feet but Lockheart is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Lockheart stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mudgett swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mudgett is looking to stand up but Lockheart isn't so interested in that idea.

Mudgett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lockheart checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Lockheart shoots in looking for a takedown but Mudgett manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lockheart's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Lockheart changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mudgett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Herman Mudgett!
Herman Mudgett tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
Kurt Lockheart spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm sorry I did not deliver. I'll work harder in order not to disappoint the fans.'.
