Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuya Shimizu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shimizu comes into the arena with Lost Frequencies - Are You With Me blaring out of the sound system. Manhoef comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Prodigy - Take Me To The Hospital kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Yuya Shimizu could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Melvin Manhoef's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimizu throws a leg kick which misses Manhoef's front leg but catches the back leg as Manhoef tries to avoid it.
Shimizu wants to land a leg kick but Manhoef is out of range.
Shimizu throws a right and a left that both miss.
Shimizu throws a jab when Manhoef was well out of range.
Shimizu throws a head kick that misses.
Shimizu throws a low kick, looking for Manhoef's leg but Manhoef calmly moves out of range.
Shimizu fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Nice uppercut lands for Manhoef. That snapped Shimizu's head back.
Shimizu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Manhoef moves out of range as Shimizu strikes.
Manhoef throws a leg kick but Shimizu sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A head kick from Shimizu lands but Manhoef takes it in his stride.
Donk. Manhoef catches Shimizu right on the button with a cross.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shimizu explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Shimizu connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Shimizu counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Shimizu.
Manhoef has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Shimizu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Manhoef pulls Shimizu in close to prevent any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Manhoef seems keen to control Shimizu's posture.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Shimizu is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Shimizu is rocked!
Shimizu looks up at the clock. Bad move! Manhoef lands a right hand from hell, dropping Shimizu. Manhoef pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
