Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tigran Badoyan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Genghis Khan!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badoyan blocks a jab.
Khan has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Khan finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A big left from Khan misses.
Khan misses with a jab to the body
and Badoyan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Genghis Khan has been cut.
Badoyan seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Khan throws a head kick that half lands.


It looks like Tigran Badoyan has been cut.
Khan takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Badoyan throws a good cross that connects.
Khan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Badoyan.
Khan loads up on a big right hand but Badoyan slips the punch.
Khan chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Khan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Khan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Khan ducks under a wild hook from Badoyan.
Khan is trying to counter with his kicks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
It looked like Badoyan was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Khan tries to work over Badoyan's front leg with a kick but Badoyan checks it.
Badoyan scores with a head kick. Khan tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Badoyan misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Khan counters with an inside leg kick.
Khan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Khan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A jab from Khan misses.
Badoyan shoots for a takedown but Khan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Khan cracks Badoyan with a right hand to the side of the head.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Khan.
Badoyan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Genghis Khan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Khan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Badoyan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Khan throws out a loose jab but Badoyan uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Badoyan throws a body kick that misses.
Badoyan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Khan to score with a decent uppercut.
Badoyan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
A clash of legs there as Badoyan blocks the low kick.
Badoyan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Khan throws out a counter right but Badoyan avoids it with no problem.
Badoyan tests Khan's chin there with a solid looking shot.


That has opened up Genghis Khan's cut even more.
Khan connects with a nice looking jab.
Some bone on bone action there as Badoyan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Badoyan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Khan looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Badoyan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A nice inside leg kick there by Badoyan. That's going to slow Khan down.
A nice leg kick lands there from Khan.
Badoyan swings for the body but Khan moves out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Badoyan misses the target.
Badoyan looks to land a left hand but Khan moved out of range nicely.
An inside leg kick from Khan misses.

Khan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Badoyan sprawling to the canvas! Badoyan rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Khan finish him?!


Badoyan is rocked!
Badoyan glances at the clock... BAM! Khan nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Badoyan crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Badoyan is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Genghis Khan!
