Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chet Savage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, George Wates!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wates shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Savage sprawls well. Savage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wates gets slowly back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wates.
Wates fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Chet Savage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Wates.

Wates closes the distance and clinches.
Savage is trying to break the clinch but Wates has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Savage defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wates.
George Wates seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wates.
Savage appears to be looking for a big counter.
Wates darts in looking for a takedown but Savage gets double underhooks and turns Wates into the cage.
Savage throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wates.

Savage misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Wates drives through and clinches with Savage against the cage.
Savage is struggling to control the position.
Wates looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Wates blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Savage has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wates uses from the top position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Savage really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wates throws a right hand that Savage ducks under and follows up with a left that Savage also avoids with ease.

Savage will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chet Savage will probably get the nod.

Savage lands with a kick to the temple. Wates shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

I would just about give that final round to George Wates.
