Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Garkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jessie Holloway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jessie Holloway was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garkov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Holloway circles away.
Holloway tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Holloway gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Garkov.

Holloway turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Holloway manages to end up in side control.
Garkov is trying to control Holloway's posture but Holloway avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garkov tries to buck Holloway off but Holloway is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Garkov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garkov is looking to stand up but Holloway isn't so interested in that idea.

Garkov tries to land a sweep but no joy.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Garkov is on top in guard.

Holloway really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garkov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
