Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Johnz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Murth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Johnz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adam Murth!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murth throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Johnz looks to land a left hand but Murth moved out of range nicely.
Murth looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Murth scores with the left hand. Johnz knows he should have avoided that one.
Johnz looks to land a combination but Murth avoids it well.
Murth swings for the body but Johnz moves out of range.
Johnz throws a head kick that misses.
Johnz tries to bum rush Murth with a series of wild strikes but Murth uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Adam Murth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Murth takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Johnz looks to land a combination. Murth sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Murth stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnz. Johnz gets slowly back to his feet.

Murth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Murth shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Murth was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Murth swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Johnz is now in Murth's guard. A big mistake from Murth there, giving up the dominant position!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnz wants to stand but Murth is controlling the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Johnz can't keep his opponent in guard - Murth advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Murth tries to break the clinch but Johnz is controlling the position.
Johnz scores a nice knee to the body.

Murth gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Well, if Murth is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Murth lands a nice short elbow.
Johnz is breathing heavily.

Johnz is defending against the submission attempts here by Murth.
Murth wants to control but Johnz is keeping him busy.

Murth thows a huge punch but Johnz dodges it nicely.

Murth passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Johnz!

Murth is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Johnz has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Johnz!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Johnz throws a left and a right that both miss

and Murth counters with a single leg into guard. Johnz didn't expect that.

Murth drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Johnz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Murth has Johnz in his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Murth is on top in guard.

Murth drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Murth jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Murth takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Murth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johnz is just riding it out for now. Murth eventually gives up the hold.
Murth thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnz's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Murth is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Murth seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johnz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Johnz is trying to improve his position.
Sloppy strikes there by Murth.
Murth scores with punches from side control.
Murth fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Murth is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Johnz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Adam Murth has got the better of the ground game so far.

Murth tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Murth has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Johnz manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Murth is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Johnz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Johnz's back!
Murth is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Johnz. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Murth is cranking Johnz's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Johnz! He's tightened the choke and Johnz is tapping out!
