Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Glen Bowers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vincent Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Bowers.

Bowers gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bowers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Thomas is one step ahead there.
Thomas is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bowers has control of Thomas's left arm, preventing Thomas from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bowers wants to hit a switch here but Thomas passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bowers there!
Bowers can't escape the position.
Bowers is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Thomas can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bowers is looking to escape.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bowers tries to roll over but Thomas keeps him under control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Thomas drives through with a takedown into guard.
Thomas slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bowers is looking for a sweep. Thomas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Thomas seems to be working for a kimura but Bowers defends the submission attempt.

Bowers gets caught napping as Thomas dives in and scores a takedown. Bowers manages to retain guard.

Bowers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
You can see the frustration on Bowers's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bowers bucks up and tries to throw Thomas off but instead Thomas has got his back!
Thomas just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Thomas gets his hands free as Bowers looks to control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bowers tries to break free.
Bowers trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
I really don't envy Bowers right now.
Thomas controls the action.
Our spies down at at Canadian Dragon MMA inform us that Thomas has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Bowers is trying to get back to his feet but Thomas has full control of the position and if anything, Bowers has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Vincent Thomas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Thomas rushes Bowers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Bowers scores with a nice short uppercut.

Bowers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Thomas gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Thomas wants to control from the top but Bowers keeps moving.
Bowers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Thomas won't allow Bowers to get back to his feet.
Bowers tries to strike from the bottom.
Bowers controls Thomas momentarily but Thomas frees himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bowers looking for a sweep. Not yet Bowers, not yet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bowers closes the distance and pushes Thomas back into the cage.

Thomas gets control of Bowers's arms and successfully pulls guard. Thomas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Thomas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bowers postures up in Thomas's guard and throws a big left but Thomas blocks it.
Bowers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bowers throws a big elbow that misses.

Thomas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bowers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bowers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bowers wants to control from the top but Thomas keeps moving.
Bowers is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Thomas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Thomas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Thomas has momentary wrist control but Bowers slips an elbow through the middle.
Bowers is looking to work some ground and pound but Thomas has wrist control.
Thomas throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Bowers trying to control the position from guard on top but Thomas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Thomas is trying to control the position but Bowers postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bowers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Thomas darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Glen Bowers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Vincent Thomas is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Bowers trying to get back to full guard but Thomas takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Vincent Thomas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Thomas winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
