Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jandre Vorster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez has chosen Not Afraid - Eminen as his entrance music. Diego Sanchez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jandre Vorster!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Vorster ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Vorster no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Sanchez wants to work for an arm triangle but Vorster is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Vorster is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sanchez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Vorster jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sanchez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sanchez and Vorster has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Sanchez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vorster gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Vorster wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.

Vorster drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sanchez dives on top into guard.

Sanchez is keen to just control but Vorster is a slippery customer.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vorster defends it well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vorster wants to get back to full guard but Sanchez has mounted him!

Sanchez has control of Vorster's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Vorster regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Vorster bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Vorster is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sanchez can do to turn this around?

Vorster postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanchez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Vorster, into his guard.

Vorster isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sanchez stacks Vorster on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sanchez!
Jandre Vorster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Jandre Vorster will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Vorster is looking to clinch but Sanchez is avoiding it.
Sanchez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vorster sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sanchez somewhat.

Vorster changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sanchez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
