Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Phileas Ankward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Theodotus!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Theodotus lands with a right hand.
Ankward fails with an attempt to clinch.
Theodotus jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Theodotus works over Ankward's head and body with a nice combination.
Ankward is trying hard to land a takedown here. Theodotus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ankward fails to land the takedown.
Ankward takes one on the button.
Ankward definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A slow jab from Theodotus misses its intended target.
Theodotus lands with an overhand left.
Theodotus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ankward moves away.

Ankward closes the distance and clinches.
Ankward tries to land knees in the clinch but Theodotus avoids the damage to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Theodotus throws a head punch that misses.
Theodotus tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Theodotus swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Ankward jumps guard but Theodotus turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phileas Ankward. That's going to take a lot out of him.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Theodotus.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head punch on the inside from Theodotus fails to land.
Ankward goes for a takedown attempt but Theodotus pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Theodotus throws a hook but Ankward blocks it.
Ankward changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Theodotus tries to avoid it but Ankward manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Theodotus to the ground. Theodotus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ankward fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Theodotus, pushing him back against the cage.
Theodotus lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Ankward tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Theodotus avoids it.
Ankward throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Theodotus blocks it with crossed arms.
Ankward is trying to maintain a safe position but Theodotus gets an underhook and turns Ankward into the cage.
Theodotus swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Ankward successfully pulls guard.
Ankward avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Theodotus loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ankward is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Ankward manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Theodotus manages to get himself to full guard.


That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ankward is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Theodotus looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ankward is one step ahead there.
Theodotus wants to stand but Ankward is controlling the position.
Theodotus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ankward. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ankward gets to his feet - Theodotus follows without any prompting.

Ankward throws a sloppy head kick and Theodotus moves out of range easily.
Ryan Theodotus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ankward needs to keep his hands up - Theodotus had a free shot at his head there.
Theodotus throws a jab but it's blocked by Ankward.
Theodotus throws a hook but Ankward blocks it.
Ryan Theodotus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ankward fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Theodotus cracks Ankward with a right hand to the side of the head.
Theodotus lands a jab to the head.
Ankward takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Theodotus slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Theodotus connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Ankward ducks under a wild hook from Theodotus.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Theodotus lands a really nice looking cross but Ankward seems unphased.


Ankward is rocked!
Ankward bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Theodotus comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Ankward falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Ankward was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryan Theodotus!
