Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Greg Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandro Zito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zito showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Davis.
Zito rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Davis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Zito throws a right and a left that Davis avoids nicely.

so Zito counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Davis had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Zito is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Davis Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Zito's back instead.
Zito is trying to break free.
Zito is keeping busy.

Davis is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Zito is defending well though. Davis let's go of the attempt for now.
Zito wants to escape the position.
Zito rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Zito defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Davis's arms.
Davis is landing with strikes from the back.
Davis doesn't have the hooks in and Zito manages to turn into his guard.
Zito stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Davis wants to get back to his feet but Zito is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Zito postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Zito is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Davis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Davis has escaped and now he's on top!
Davis wants to control from the top but Zito keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis is really struggling to control Zito but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Zito is looking for a triangle but Davis pushes his legs off easily.
Davis postures up and lands a big shot to Zito's brow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zito is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Davis is just riding it out for now. Zito eventually gives up the hold.
Zito moves into full mount! Davis won't be happy about that!

Zito has control of Davis's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Davis regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Davis is trying to escape the mount but Zito keeps good control and instead manages to take Davis's back.
