The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marques pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gracie back to the ropes. Marques follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Renan Gracie has been cut.
Gracie takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Marques throws a series of punches but Gracie moves out of range.
Marques stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

Marques lands a left and a right that send Gracie crashing to the mat, dazed. Marques thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marques connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Gracie to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Marques!
