The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Crakehall.

Crakehall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Palmer circles away quickly and effectively.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Crakehall enables Palmer to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Crakehall manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Palmer drops back looking for a leg! Crakehall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Crakehall manages to kick Palmer off! Palmer jumps back into Crakehall's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Palmer lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Crakehall is looking to clinch.
Crakehall shoots in and drives through. Palmer sprawls well.
Crakehall definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Crakehall connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Palmer momentarily.
Palmer misses with a low kick.

Palmer tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Crakehall bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
