Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Rage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alex Rouge!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage looks to land a combination but Rouge avoids it well.
Rage avoids the head kick by Rouge.
Rage fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rouge manages to avoid it.
Rage rushes Rouge and presses him up against the cage.
Rage throws an elbow that misses.
Rage breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rage moves into range and clinches up with Rouge.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Rouge's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice body kick there by Rouge.
Rage lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Alex Rouge has been cut.
Rage shoots for a double leg takedown but Rouge sprawls well. He's pushed Rage's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rouge lands a big head kick that sends Rage tumbling to the mat! Rouge takes a step backwards and waves Rage back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Rage is rocked!
It looks like Ryan Rage has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rouge looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Rouge backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Rage's temple! It sends Rage violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Rouge celebrates and the doctors try to help Rage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Alex Rouge!
