Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Putra Rajasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rajasa's entrance music is Bed of Roses. A fine choice. Simon has chosen Darude - Sandstorm as his entrance music. Chris Simon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Putra Rajasa's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rajasa is out of range.
Rajasa is looking for a counter combo.
Simon misses with a kick to the body
and Rajasa counters with a nice body shot.
Simon has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Rajasa is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Rajasa blocks a head kick by Simon.

Rajasa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Simon.
Rajasa seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Simon has Rajasa pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Simon pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Rajasa tumbling to the mat - Simon dives into Rajasa's guard.

Rajasa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Rajasa is nestled in close to Simon, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Simon is on top in guard.

Simon wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Simon rushes Rajasa and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Simon wants to free his trapped foot but Rajasa is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Simon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rajasa swats away the attempt to clinch by Simon.
Rajasa is looking for a counter combo.
Simon will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Rajasa was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Simon throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Simon shoots in but Rajasa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rajasa appears to be looking for a big counter.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Simon loads up on a big right hand but Rajasa slips the punch.
As Simon looks to move away, Rajasa throws a big counter combo bu Simon just gets out of the way.

As Simon backs away, Rajasa returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simon throws a series of punches but Rajasa avoids them all with ease.

and Rajasa counters with a left and a right that hurts Simon! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Rajasa jumps into full mount!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rajasa loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Simon scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Rajasa land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Rajasa stands and salutes the crowd.
