PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rosen Strasser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asher Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Asher Lee was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rosen Strasser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 47 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asher Lee!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lee's corner calls for a 1-2. Lee obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A big right from Strasser misses.
Strasser throws a hook but Lee blocks it.
Lee misses with a looping right.
Lee throws a hook but Strasser blocks it.
Lee misses with a wild body shot.
Lee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Strasser takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Rosen Strasser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Strasser.
Strasser scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Lee just misses with a punch to the body.
Lee throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Strasser on the side of the head.
Strasser really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Strasser lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Strasser thuds a left hand into Lee's body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Strasser cracks Lee with a right hand to the side of the head.
Lee misses with a straight left.
Strasser wants to slow Lee down by chopping away at his legs.
A little jabbing left from Lee on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Strasser looks to land a combination. Lee sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Strasser connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Lee has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A telegraphed right hand from Strasser misses the target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Strasser is looking to chop away at Lee's legs.
A combination from Lee does no damage.
It looked like Strasser was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Lee checks a low kick from Strasser.
Lee jabs Strasser to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A jab lands there for Lee.
Strasser looks to land a combination. Lee sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A head kick misses from Strasser.
Strasser misses the shot to the body.
Strasser uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lee.
Lee throws a right hand that misses
and Strasser counters with a head kick.
Strasser misses with an uppercut.
Strasser keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lee misses with a hook.
Lee takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


Lee is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Strasser uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lee.
A jab lands there for Strasser.
Lee is still on wobbly legs! Can Strasser finish him?
Strasser paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Strasser dodges the punch combination from Lee.
Strasser is looking for a counter combo.
Strasser scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee lands with a right hand.
Lee missing with a left hand there. Strasser was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lee slips a jab and a cross from Strasser.
Strasser lands with a kick to the temple. Lee shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Strasser steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lee.
Strasser throws a push kick but Lee slaps the foot to one side.
Lee misses with a left hand
and Strasser counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Strasser swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Strasser defending well as Lee loads up on a big left hand.
Strasser keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Strasser throws the left hand but Lee avoids the punch easily.
Strasser throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Strasser slips a jab and a cross from Lee.
Lee tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That kick from Strasser tenderised Lee's leg. Lee is trying to keep his angry face on.
The fighters circle, before Strasser throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Lee's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Strasser lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Rosen Strasser!
