PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shaka KaSolomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudolf Rammhammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot by Rammhammer.
Rammhammer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rammhammer wants it to stay on the feet.

KaSolomon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rammhammer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
KaSolomon advances position into side control!
Rammhammer sneaks back into half guard.
Rammhammer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of KaSolomon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take KaSolomon's back!
KaSolomon is trying to break free.

KaSolomon has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

KaSolomon passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rammhammer!
Rammhammer tries to lock up and control but KaSolomon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
KaSolomon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rammhammer is looking to escape.
KaSolomon throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Rammhammer because KaSolomon loaded up on that one.
KaSolomon throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

KaSolomon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

KaSolomon wants to work for an arm triangle but Rammhammer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A punch lands to the side of KaSolomon 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Rammhammer stuffs the takedown attempt from KaSolomon. KaSolomon gets slowly back to his feet.

It looks like Shaka KaSolomon has been cut.

Shaka KaSolomon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rammhammer clobbers KaSolomon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Rammhammer connects with a crisp jab.
Rammhammer leaves KaSolomon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Rammhammer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rammhammer misses with a two punch combination.

KaSolomon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rammhammer!

KaSolomon misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

KaSolomon gets to mount! Rammhammer was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
We've been informed that Rammhammer has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Rammhammer is squirming around, avoiding KaSolomon's attempts to control the action.
KaSolomon throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Rammhammer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with KaSolomon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
KaSolomon wants to control the pace but Rammhammer is squirming around nicely.
Rammhammer is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
KaSolomon misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

KaSolomon has hold of Rammhammer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rammhammer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

KaSolomon wants to finish this one by submission but Rammhammer is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from KaSolomon.

KaSolomon jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rammhammer is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rammhammer and KaSolomon has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shaka KaSolomon will probably get the nod.
