Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kano Watnabe!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Watnabe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Holow is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Watnabe is controlling him well.
Holow wants to control but Watnabe postures up.
Holow takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Watnabe tries to move into full mount but can't pass Holow's legs.
Watnabe works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Watnabe stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Watnabe tries to clinch there but Holow circles away.
Watnabe throws a head kick that misses
and Holow counters with a left and a right that stings Watnabe.
Holow slips under a jab.
Holow appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Holow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Watnabe pinned against the cage. Watnabe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Watnabe doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Holow avoids the head kick by Watnabe.

Watnabe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Watnabe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Let's hope that Watnabe has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
