The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean misses with a jab, cross combination.
Luciano is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Luciano closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Luciano is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dean sees it coming and defends easily.
Luciano prevents Dean from improving his position.
Dean gets full guard.

Dean had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Luciano defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dean has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Luciano has passed into side control.

Luciano thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Luciano has hold of Dean's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Dean seems comfortable defending it but Luciano has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Dean is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Dean is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Luciano couldn't care less - he's delighted!
