Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim Jong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jong might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nobody Nobody. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Barnett!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Barnett or perhaps it was just good defense by Jong, which made it look bad.

and Jong counters by moving into the clinch.
Jong throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Jong landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Barnett takes a knee right on the jaw!

It looks like Josh Barnett has been cut.

Jong with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Barnett dodges an elbow strike from Jong.
Jong doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Barnett takes a shot to the head.
Jong lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Barnett drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kim Jong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Barnett.
Barnett tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jong smiles and moves away.
Jong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Barnett avoids the head kick by Jong.
Barnett with the counter takedown but Jong avoids it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jong throws a sloppy head kick and Barnett moves out of range easily.
Barnett steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jong. That one must have hurt.

Jab, jab by Jong - just one landing.
Barnett swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Barnett takes a swing at Jong's ribcage but misses.
Jong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jong throws a wild body kick that Barnett sees coming a mile off.

Barnett scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Jong manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Jong thows a huge punch but Barnett dodges it nicely.

Jong is trying to work for a kimura but Barnett is defending well.

Jong is working for a submission of some sort.
Barnett wants to get back to full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barnett pushes Jong off looking to stand but Jong dives back in and keeps control.

Jong is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Barnett is just riding it out for now. Jong eventually gives up the hold.
Barnett slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Barnett has his foot on Jong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jong works his way back into a safe position though.

Barnett has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jong stands and throws Barnett's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Jong working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Barnett tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Jong is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Barnett knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jong is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Barnett doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jong.
