Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lawrence Finley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lawrence Finley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Santiago Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finley fails with a takedown attempt.

Sanchez looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Finley wants to sweep here but Sanchez controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Finley can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sanchez controls the pace.

Finley wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Sanchez is now in half guard.

Sanchez decides to stand and escape the position.

Finley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sanchez drops back looking for a leg! Finley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Finley manages to kick Sanchez off! Sanchez jumps back into Finley's guard.
Finley is pulling down on Sanchez's head. It's preventing any offense from Sanchez, at least for the moment.
Finley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Finley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sanchez trying to control but Finley is working from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Finley really is a fat lump.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Sanchez.

Sanchez looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Finley keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Finley is trying to control the position but Sanchez postures up.
Sanchez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Sanchez wants to get up but he can't break Finley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Finley wants to sweep here but Sanchez controlling him for the moment.

Sanchez gets tackled into the cage by Finley. Finley maintains the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Finley is fighting off a takedown attempt but Sanchez is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Finley to the mat. Finley regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sanchez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Finley is trying to get back to full guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Sanchez. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Finley is not content to let Sanchez control the position.

Finley is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sanchez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sanchez wants to stand up but Finley has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Sanchez manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Finley on his heels. He'll look to pass Finley's guard now, I'm sure.
Finley pulls Sanchez in close to prevent any damage.

Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sanchez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Finley tries to bench press Sanchez off him but Sanchez keeps the position.

That's time! Finley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Sanchez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Finley is trying to defend but Sanchez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Finley manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sanchez's best efforts.
Sanchez wants to pass to mount but Finley is defending the position.
Sanchez is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Finley!

Finley is trying desperately to improve position.

Finley wants to hold on but Sanchez pushes him away.
Finley is looking to improve his position but Sanchez isn't that keen on the idea.
Sanchez has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sanchez avoids the attempt from Finley to control.
Sanchez misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Finley is looking to get to half guard.
Finley is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Sanchez content just to control the position here.
Sanchez trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Sanchez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Finley haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Sanchez controlling the pace for now.
Let's hope that Sanchez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
