The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rogers.
Griffin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rogers is looking for a sweep. Griffin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rogers is on top in guard.

Rogers throws a series of punches but Griffin avoids them all with ease.
Griffin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Rogers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Griffin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Griffin lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Marcus Rogers has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Griffin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Griffin is trying for a kimura here. Rogers looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Griffin wins by kimura!
