Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Consuelo Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Consuelo Lopez has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Silva.
Lopez lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Silva backs up against the cage.
Silva lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lopez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Silva shoots in and bounces Lopez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

A nice inside leg kick there by Lopez. That's going to slow Silva down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lopez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Silva is looking for a choke. Lopez gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Lopez manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lopez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lopez's back instead.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Silva is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Lopez is defending well though. Silva let's go of the attempt for now.

Silva drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Silva as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Lopez screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Silva! Nice submission victory there!
