Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeb Muller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Muller drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wright is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Muller is controlling him.
Muller chips away with some ground and pound.
Muller throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wright works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Wright has eaten all the pies!
Wright is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Muller jumps guard and drags Wright to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Muller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Muller thows a huge punch but Wright dodges it nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Muller stops Wright from getting back to his feet.
Wright tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Muller manages to move to mount!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Wright tries to clinch up but Muller circles away and keeps his distance.

A nice leg kick lands there from Muller.
Wright walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Muller checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Wright tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Muller manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Muller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wright pinned against the cage. Wright gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Wright lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Muller backs up against the cage.
Wright throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jeb Muller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wright works Muller's body with a nice hook.
Muller keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Muller darts in looking for a takedown but Wright gets double underhooks and turns Muller into the cage.

Muller changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wright looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeb Muller will probably get the nod.

Wright does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Muller keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wright's efforts to push away.

Wright presses Muller against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Eric Wright seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Wright is trying to push Muller away but Muller has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Muller has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Wright clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Muller has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Wright has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Muller is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Wright is defending well though. Muller let's go of the attempt for now.
