The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders takes a jab right on the kisser.
Cox throws a jab when Sanders was well out of range.
Sanders is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Cox.
A punch combination from Cox misses.
Sanders tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Cox manages to circle out of the way.
Cox throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Sanders's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Cox dives in looking to finish as Sanders flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Cox's strikes! Cox is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Sanders's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Sanders was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
