Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Austin Carmpenion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uber Balance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin Carmpenion could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Uber Balance's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Austin Carmpenion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Uber Balance!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Balance forces Carmpenion back against the cage and clinches.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Balance.
Balance lands a nice shot to the body.

Balance jumps guard and drags Carmpenion to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Carmpenion trying to control but Balance is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carmpenion postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Balance is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Carmpenion, into his guard.

Balance trying to control the position from guard on top but Carmpenion is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Balance is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Carmpenion throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Balance escapes and throws Carmpenion's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Balance goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Carmpenion rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Balance's guard! Nice work there by Carmpenion!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Carmpenion throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Balance lunges at Carmpenion with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Carmpenion's hand.

Balance keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Balance feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Balance stays in close to Carmpenion's body and controls the position.
Carmpenion looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Balance controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Let's hope that Balance has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Carmpenion has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Balance is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Carmpenion.
Balance tries to move to mount but Carmpenion blocks the move with his legs.

Balance looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Uber Balance dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Carmpenion throws a right and a left that both miss.
Austin Carmpenion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carmpenion throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Balance sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Carmpenion connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Balance's hands.
Balance throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Carmpenion goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Carmpenion connects with a single shot there.
Balance looks to land a body kick but Carmpenion moved away.
Carmpenion misses with a series of wild punches.

Balance scores with a jab to the jaw.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Carmpenion throws a right hand that Balance ducks under and follows up with a left that Balance also avoids with ease.

Carmpenion tries to break the clinch but Balance is controlling the position.

Balance breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Balance changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carmpenion looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Carmpenion drops down looking for an ankle pick but Balance pulls his leg out and moves away.

Balance gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Carmpenion jumps guard but Balance stands there with Carmpenion around his waist. Carmpenion gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

That was a close second round but I would say that Austin Carmpenion will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Balance rushes Carmpenion and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Balance breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Carmpenion drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Balance gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Carmpenion throws a nice looking combination but Balance bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Carmpenion misses the shot to the body.
Carmpenion takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Balance throws a head kick that Carmpenion semi-blocks.
A slow jab from Balance misses its intended target.

Balance ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Balance no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Carmpenion wanted to stand there but Balance had control of the position.

Carmpenion drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Balance dives on top into guard.

Carmpenion manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Carmpenion is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Balance has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Balance!

Uber Balance comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Balance has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
