PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jet Hemi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Skaggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hemi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Satyricon - Fuel For Hatred. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hemi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Skaggs avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hemi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Skaggs moves into range and clinches up with Hemi.
Skaggs fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hemi tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Skaggs avoids it.
Hemi scores with a shoulder strike.
Hemi tries a knee to the head but Skaggs blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hemi throws a knee to the head but misses.
Hemi lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Skaggs's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Skaggs is trying to pull guard but Hemi has him pressed against the cage.
Skaggs looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jet Hemi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Skaggs.
Hemi effectively controlling the action here.
Skaggs is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Skaggs is looking to break free of the clinch but Hemi has double underhooks.
Hemi lands with a right to the head.

Hemi lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Skaggs is rocked!
Hemi has Skaggs pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Skaggs is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Hemi - that's hurt Skaggs badly! Oh, another knee lands and Skaggs is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Skaggs doesn't seem to be complaining.
