Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Kaukalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Zapata's choice of entrance music: Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaukalo lands a nice looking kick to the body. Zapata takes a step back to recover.
Kaukalo lands a really nice looking cross but Zapata seems unphased.

Zapata dives in and grabs Kaukalo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kaukalo pushes down on Zapata's head and hops out.

Eduardo Zapata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zapata closes the distance and clinches up with Kaukalo, looking for a takedown. Zapata pushes Kaukalo against the cage but Kaukalo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kaukalo takes a swing at Zapata's ribcage but misses.
Zapata moves forwards but Kaukalo connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Zapata fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kaukalo sprawls well initially but Zapata persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kaukalo wants to control but Zapata is keeping busy and won't allow it.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Zapata working his ground and pound in the gym.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kaukalo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Zapata will feel that in the morning.

Zapata tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kaukalo defends well and Zapata ends up having to push Kaukalo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
