Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leslie Delgado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Wates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leslie Delgado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Edward Wates!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wates tries to close the distance and clinch up but Delgado swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Delgado went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Delgado throws a series of punches but Wates avoids them all with ease.

Delgado has taken the fight to the clinch.
Delgado dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Wates bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Delgado sneaks back into half guard.

Wates is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Delgado sees it coming and defends easily.
Wates is pressing down on Delgado's thigh, looking to free his foot. Delgado is holding on for now.
Delgado is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Wates is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Delgado defends it well.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wates! But no joy.
Wates has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wates is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Delgado to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Delgado shrugs it off.
