Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Willy Sison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hery Rabemananjara!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sison fails with the takedown
and Rabemananjara cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sison.
A nice side step and Rabemananjara releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Sison ducks under a wild hook from Rabemananjara.
Sison doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rabemananjara counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willy Sison. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sison has his takedown stuffed
and Rabemananjara counters with a crisp one two that drops Sison! Rabemananjara thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Sison to his feet! Sison is in big trouble!
Sison is rocked!
Sison misses with a wild combination.
Rabemananjara tries to counter by closing the distance.
Sison misses with a takedown
and Rabemananjara counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Rabemananjara.
Rabemananjara prevents Sison from breaking the clinch.
Rabemananjara gets through Sison's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Sison pulls guard.
Rabemananjara wants to stand but Sison has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Rabemananjara wants to stand and escape but instead Sison has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Rabemananjara looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sison is one step ahead there.

Rabemananjara controls Sison momentarily but Sison frees himself.
Sison trying to control the position from guard on top but Rabemananjara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sison trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Sison is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Sison drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sison jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sison uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rabemananjara.
Sison lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Sison has his takedown stuffed
and Rabemananjara counters by moving into the clinch.
Sison can't get the takedown.
Sison wants to get back to striking at distance but Rabemananjara won't allow it.
Rabemananjara tries to work over Sison's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Rabemananjara lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Rabemananjara lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Rabemananjara is leaning against Sison and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Sison is breathing heavily.
Sison tries to pull guard but Rabemananjara holds him up against the cage and eventually Sison drops back down to his feet.
Rabemananjara lands a body punch in the clinch.
Sison is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rabemananjara is defending well.
Rabemananjara lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Rabemananjara working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Oh Sison is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rabemananjara lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Rabemananjara creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Sison's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Sison drops to his knees and Rabemananjara pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
