Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lance Burt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pippen Puck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Puck moves into the clinch successfully.
Burt is trying to break free.
Still in the clinch, Burt scores with a nice short uppercut.
Burt lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Burt lands a knee to the body.
Burt misses with a hook from the clinch.
Puck is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Burt pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Burt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Puck shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Puck showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burt pushes Puck off looking to stand but Puck dives back in and keeps control.

Puck is just content to waste time from the top position. Burt takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Burt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Puck is trying to maintain the position but Burt is very close to passing his half guard.
Puck might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Burt haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Puck can do anything to dispel that myth.

Puck is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
