And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Owen Orwell!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orwell shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense.

Orwell is trying to control Anderson's posture but Anderson avoids it.
Anderson working the ground and pound but Orwell is defending the strikes.
Orwell is looking for a sweep.
Anderson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Orwell will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Anderson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Orwell manages to work his way to half guard, despite Anderson's best efforts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Orwell told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Anderson thows a huge punch but Orwell dodges it nicely.
Anderson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Anderson is trying to control. Orwell wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Orwell is looking to control Anderson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Orwell avoid being mounted?

Anderson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Anderson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Orwell is still in real trouble! Can Anderson finish him?
Anderson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Orwell with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Anderson unloads with some huge strikes here! Orwell is out! Anderson wins by brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Andrew Anderson!
