Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei tries to close the distance and clinch but Gabaldon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Gabaldon counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lei!
Lei is pushing Gabaldon's head away, looking to escape. Gabaldon manages to hold on to the position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gabaldon wants to control but Lei is keeping him busy.

Gabaldon tries to score with some ground and pound. Lei controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Gabaldon has hold of Lei's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lei seems comfortable defending it but Gabaldon has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lei is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lei is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gabaldon couldn't care less - he's delighted!
