Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luis Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandon has chosen Catch Em By Surprise as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luis Guerrero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenny Brandon!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandon cracks Guerrero with a right hand to the side of the head.

Brandon dives in and scores a takedown into Guerrero's guard.
Guerrero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brandon is one step ahead there.
Guerrero doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brandon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Nice sprawl there from Guerrero as Brandon shoots in.
Guerrero just misses with a punch to the body.
Guerrero showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Brandon.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brandon shoots in for a double leg but Guerrero sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Horrible takedown attempt by Brandon or perhaps it was just good defense by Guerrero, which made it look bad.
Luis Guerrero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenny Brandon.
Brandon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Brandon moves forwards but Guerrero connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Brandon scores with a head kick. Guerrero tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Brandon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Guerrero shoots in looking for a takedown. Brandon tries to sprawl out of it but Guerrero keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brandon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Guerrero steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Brandon.
Guerrero bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Brandon's head.
Guerrero shoots in for a takedown but Brandon shows good takedown defense.
Brandon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Guerrero tries to counter with a takedown but Brandon is quick to defend against it.
Guerrero defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brandon.
Guerrero seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Guerrero stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Guerrero wants it to stay on the feet.
Guerrero attempts a counter takedown but Brandon avoids it well and moves away.
Brandon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brandon shoots for a double leg takedown but Guerrero sprawls well. He's pushed Brandon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Brandon takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Guerrero lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Brandon backs up against the cage.
Guerrero lands with a right hand.


Brandon is rocked!
A looping hook to the body misses from Brandon. Guerrero does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kenny Brandon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brandon chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Guerrero fails with the takedown.
Brandon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Brandon has Guerrero up against the cage in a clinch.

Guerrero has clasped his hands together around Brandon's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The strikes coming from Guerrero are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Guerrero looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Guerrero lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Brandon down.

Guerrero throws a strike but Brandon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Guerrero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brandon is one step ahead there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Brandon wants to pass the guard but Guerrero is keeping the position.

A close round but Kenny Brandon will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Guerrero fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Brandon on the side of the head.

Brandon tries to clinch up but Guerrero circles away and keeps his distance.
Guerrero drops down looking for a counter takedown but Brandon sprawls and moves away.

Brandon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Guerrero counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Brandon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Brandon is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Guerrero scores with a couple of nice shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brandon is staying active underneath Guerrero, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Guerrero accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Brandon controls Guerrero momentarily but Guerrero frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
We've been told by Guerrero's head coaches at LOD: Xtreme MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Brandon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A punch lands to the side of Brandon 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Brandon looks for the body kick but Guerrero saw that one coming.

Brandon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Brandon swings for the body but Guerrero moves out of range.

Guerrero throws an overhand right that lands on Brandon's shoulder, as Brandon tries to avoid the shot.
Brandon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Guerrero paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Guerrero darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brandon.

Brandon misses with a hook. Guerrero ducked under it nicely.
Guerrero seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Sloppy strikes from Brandon. Those never looked like landing.
Brandon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Guerrero takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kenny Brandon seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Brandon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Luis Guerrero showed his dominance in that final round.
