Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Wu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Eriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lars Eriksson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charles Wu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lars Eriksson!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eriksson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Eriksson clinches.

Wu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Wu closes the distance and pushes Eriksson back into the cage.

Wu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wu has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Eriksson.
Eriksson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Wu attempts a counter takedown but Eriksson avoids it well and moves away.
Wu is looking to land body kicks.
Eriksson is looking to clinch.
Eriksson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Eriksson throws a leg kick but Wu checks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eriksson wants to clinch.
Eriksson scores with a sloppy right hand. Wu should have avoided that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.

and Wu counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wu frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Eriksson is desperately trying to improve his position but Wu has a good base and remains in mount.
Eriksson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Wu thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Wu controlling from the full mount.
Eriksson told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Wu scoring with strikes but Eriksson is staying in there.
Wu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Wu has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Eriksson's face.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Eriksson is desperately trying to improve his position but Wu has a good base and remains in mount.
Wu cracks Eriksson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
BOOM! Wu connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Wu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wu throwing strikes here but Eriksson is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Wu trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Wu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wu swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
