The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ayahuasca tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Musashi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ayahuasca ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Musashi misses with a jab to the body
and Ayahuasca cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Musashi shoots in for a takedown but Ayahuasca shows good takedown defense.
Musashi fails with a takedown attempt.
Ayahuasca let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Musashi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ayahuasca tries to clinch but Musashi is having none of it.
Musashi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ayahuasca sprawls well. Ayahuasca wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Musashi gets slowly back to his feet.
Musashi has been working on his balance at Hilo Training Center, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Ayahuasca.
Magic Ayahuasca is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Ayahuasca counters with a series of strikes that sends Musashi to the canvas! Ayahuasca follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ayahuasca wants to stand and escape but instead Musashi has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Musashi is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Musashi extends the arm and Ayahuasca is forced to tap!
