Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Demarcus Ware (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Lanus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ware comes to the cage accompanied by Put on. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ware scores with a leg kick.

Ware looks for a takedown but Lanus sprawls well.
Ware is looking to clinch but Lanus is avoiding it.

Horrible takedown by Ware or perhaps it was just good defense by Lanus which made him look bad.

Ware throws a head kick but Lanus moves out of range.
Ware tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lanus swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ware closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ware content to control rather than advance.
Ware works his foot free and advances to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ware takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Lanus has given up his back. Will we see Ware going for some submissions?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ware is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Lanus has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Ware has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Lanus taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Ware doesn't care though - he's delighted!
