Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Guy Buchanan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petrov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Buchanan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Petrov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Buchanan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Buchanan tries to buck Petrov off but Petrov is having none of it.
Petrov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Petrov decides to stand back up. Petrov steps back and let's Buchanan get back to his feet.

Petrov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Buchanan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Petrov.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Petrov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Petrov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Buchanan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

As Petrov tries to get set, Buchanan tries to push him back and clinch up but Petrov manages to avoid the attempt.

As Petrov looks to move away, Buchanan throws a big counter combo bu Petrov just gets out of the way.

Well Petrov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
