Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Denzill Jerome!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Smith!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith rushes Jerome and presses him up against the cage.
Jerome holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Smith wants to take the fight to the mat but Jerome manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jerome shoots in but no luck this time.
Smith connects with the punch.
Smith fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jerome uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smith.
It looked like Jerome was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Jerome has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Quick Fingers BEST BANG FOR BUCK Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Jerome is trying to break the clinch but Smith has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jerome smiles and moves away.
Jerome needs to keep his hands up - Smith had a free shot at his head there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith tries to clinch but Jerome is having none of it.
Jerome fails with the takedown.
Jerome is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denzill Jerome. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jerome throws a big counter combination but Smith scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jerome.

and Smith counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Smith feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jerome sprawling to the canvas! Jerome rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Smith finish him?!

Jerome is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Smith counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jerome thinking.
Oh Jerome is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jerome is breathing heavily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Smith has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jerome uses from the top position.
Jerome really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Smith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jerome doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Smith is tightening it up a little... Jerome has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Jerome reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Jerome taps out! Nice BJJ there by Smith!
