Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rickie Hammond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Primados (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rickie Hammond has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rickie Hammond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Felix Primados!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hammond gets the takedown into side control.
Primados tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Primados struggling a bit here.
Primados is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hammond asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Primados is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hammond's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Primados has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hammond is working away from the top position though.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Hammond gets tackled into the cage by Primados. Primados maintains the clinch.

Hammond gets control of Primados's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hammond will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Hammond is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Primados defends well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Primados seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Primados must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hammond thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Hammond throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Primados's waist but Primados gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hammond off to one side.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hammond or perhaps it was just good defense by Primados, which made it look bad.
Primados throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hammond on the side of the head.

Primados tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Primados has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hammond is looking to reverse the position.

Primados pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Hammond shoots for a double leg takedown but Primados sprawls well. He's pushed Hammond's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hammond dives in and grabs Primados's left leg, looking for a takedown. Primados pushes down on Hammond's head and hops out.

Hammond closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Primados quickly recovers to half guard.
Primados is doing well to control the position and prevent Hammond from advancing to side control.
Primados wants to improve his position but Hammond is controlling well.

Hammond is looking for a kimura but Primados is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hammond to get the leverage.
Rickie Hammond overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Primados wants to control but Hammond is keeping busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hammond throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Primados shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hammond is trying to defend but Primados finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Hammond bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Primados is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Hammond got a little sloppy there for a moment and Primados has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hammond has managed to get both his arms back between Primados's legs - danger averted.
Primados is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Felix Primados showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Primados is keen to just control but Hammond is a slippery customer.

Primados seems to be looking for submissions.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Hammond fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Primados has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Felix Primados comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Primados has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
